What an inspiring and energizing week at the AACR Annual Meeting (American Association for Cancer Research) in San Diego - both at the conference and beyond!
We truly appreciated everyone who visited our booth over the past days. The conversations, curiosity, and genuine interest in the work of SFB1399 made this meeting a real highlight for us.
And of course, a special shout-out to Beaunelle de Bruijn and Laura Kaiser for representing our team with so much enthusiasm and expertise throughout the event.
A particular thank you also goes to Dean Barbara Jung and the UC San Diego School of Medicine for hosting a wonderful reception, giving our CRC the opportunity - together with SFB/TRR 417, iFIT - Cluster of Excellence & DAAD Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst to showcase how cancer research in Germany is advancing.
We are also deeply grateful for the support of DFG North America, especially Diego Rivas, who made this exchange possible.
The reception was filled with meaningful discussions, new connections, and the chance to explore shared interests within our communities. Moments like these remind us how much research thrives on collaboration and the exchange of ideas across borders.
We’re leaving AACR inspired, connected, and excited about the perspectives ahead. Until next time and thank you, San Diego!
